Concrete high-rise and neon metropolis - hugging miles and miles of golden
sands that welcome some fantastic surf. If it's your cup of tea, lots of seaside
shopping, amusements and entertainment venues - however, the endless 25kms of
beaches have to be the main attraction here. We wore ourselves out completely on
the strong surf, but worth every minute if you get to ride one! And we were only
on boogie boards!
We also had a tremendous day spent at one of the (many) local theme
parks - "Wet 'n' Wild"!! See
www.wetnwild.com.au acting like big kids on the water flumes and slides -
the double screamer got the vote for the day! Well worth $50 each - especially
when people at camp sites give you discount vouchers! As it was winter (only 25
- 30 degrees C) the pools were very kindly heated!
