Nimbin is inland from Byron Bay and is like stepping into a
permanent Glastonbury festival! Arriving in a 1974 camper van certainly made us
fit in immediately and we were overwhelmed with offers to buy local wares....smoko?......cakes,
good to share with friends! The drug culture is tolerated and contained in this
one small village - must be the easiest policing job in the world at that local
station! Interestingly alternative, littered with hippies from the 60's who
never found their way home. Depending on your thing - the place is inclined to
make you feel a little uncomfortable! Worth a look though!
