Info

Known locally as "The Hunter", we were actually in the Lower Hunter Valley area, based in a typical country town called Cessnock. We booked on a day's tour of the wineries - it would have been a shame to lose our licences so soon after getting them! We were accompanied by a group of mature ladies, who took a shine to 'George from Liverpool' (it's amazing where the Beatles can get you amongst International circles of communication!) Equally, the ladies wern't all keen on red wine, so George had a wonderful day....hic! We can't wait to go back here one winter, lots of log cabins up in the hills, spas, golf courses - a wonderful weekend away. We had 2 lovely days, but freezing cold nights, so be warned! (or buy a fan heater like we did!!)

The Gallery

Our first wine tasting @ 10 AM. Great.

Just HAD to pay homage to the winery that supplied the booze for our wedding earlier in the year...Boy di we have a lot in this place and all before midday.

Now most definitely way above the legal limit we tuck into a small burger each.

The new 100 litre cask of wine being developed in Oz....

Thinking of swapping our van for this...
